Just a little wild life!

One of the greatest things about being in nature has to be the wild life. When I was a little boy, I used to spend allot of time hunting with my Father. I used to love the challenge of tracking and stocking our prey! Often as we were hunting Deer we would come across the largest and most beautiful Elk or vice versa. I would wish that I had a camera to "SHOOT IT" that way! Now, I spend allot of time hunting with my camera, instead of my gun. I only hope while in the back woods of British Columbia, I don't have a camera and wish I had my gun!

Central Oregon in August

Looking West from the top of Pilot Butte. From South to North we see; Broken Hand, The Three Sisters, Mt. Washington, Three Fingered Jack and Mt. Jefferson.

Mt. Hood from the East side between Bend and Hood River.

Wild flowers replace the timber harvested years ago.

Near Edmonton AB. Last Month

I love Red Barns!

Near Edmonton Ab. there is a national park. I heard that there were tons of wild animals to take pictures of. Hmmm. I saw ;one little whit tail deer, two beavers and lots of very tame Buffalo.

The wild flowers were exquisite! These pink flowers were all over the place.

The yellow flowers in the field are Canola. This is what Canola oil is made from.

This is as wild as I found the Buffalo to be! Still quite majestic though.

The road to Squamish

Quite possibly my favorite drive in the world, except the drive home from the airport, is the road to Squamish British Columbia. Driving north up the coast from Vancouver BC to Whistler one afternoon I took some of my favorite shots. It seemed that everywhere I looked was a postcard. This goes to show that even blind squirrels find a few acorns! Have a look!

If this old logging truck could talk....

I love the reflection of the flower in the rain drop.

Miami Beach Art Deco

This last week I was in South Florida. These are a couple shots I took on Wednesday night just off South Beach. It was a bit breezy and tough to hold still for these shots, but they turned out alright I think.

Morning Fires

The first shot was taken first thing in the morning on the last day of Desert Ridge Stake Pioneer Trek. The moon was still high and the picture turned out kinda sweet. The next shot was just as the sun broke over the eastern skyline. The smoke from the cook fires lingered between the Cactus. What an amazing experience the Trek was!

Joseph Smith's Birth Place in Sharon Vermont

As many of you know I love Brother Joseph! This first shot is one I took driving up to his birthplace in Sharon Vermont. It was so beautiful! This picture truly doesn't do it justice! The next shot was taken as I went exploring around the area. I'm often like a kid exploring neat places imagining what it was like to be there with Alvin, Hyrum and Joseph. Joseph was only six years old when his family moved to Lebanon New Hampshire, twenty miles away. However I like to imagine that they played on this old rock wall! A bit corny I know, but how cool would that be?

The Emerald City

This past week I was in "The Emerald City" or Seattle Wa. for you out of towners! The shot at the title of my blog is also Seattle, but it doesn't have the Space Needle in it. The Space Needle is farther north from the downtown area. Anyway, here is a shot of the whole panoramic! Hope you like it!

The City By The Bay

As the Sun set and the Moon came up I sat from my look out half way across the Bay Bridge. As you leave Oakland, and cross the Bay Bridge toward San Fransisco, you reach a small Island in the bay. Yerba Buena Island houses an old Coast Guard base. If you are willing to hike a little ways you can find a great spot for a shot of the city. I literally snapped hundreds of shots, but this one was my favorite that night.

This is Kendree’s “Ultimate Favorite In The Universe” shot of mine. I hope you like it too!

While on a sales trip to Kalispell Montana, I was driving up Highway 93 just North of Flat Head Lake and just south of Kalispell, when I saw this scene. I thought it was breath taking! The contrast of the colors of the fall foliage and the cloudy sky really made the old red Barn stand out. I simply pulled over on the side of the road, much to Joey Golden's (my customer) surprise, and snapped about twenty shots. I find that some of my favorite shots are completely unplanned.

This Picture was taken on Chilliwack Lake about an hour and a half East of Vancouver Bc.

Since the "Band Wagon" is going my way....

Blogging seems to be a great way to share your thoughts and feelings. Those of you who know me also know that I rarely need a venue to share my thoughts and opinions! I can be a bit out-spoken I'm told. (my wife loves that about me!) I really doubt that I'll take the time to type my insights out for the world to see. But I do plan on adding a picture and a location aday. (Well as often as I feel like it) Thats the greatest thing about a Blog! If you don't like it you don't need to come back!
